Dim Sum

Member hosted Dim Sum - hosted by Wesley, our VP.

Resto PicBright Pearl Restaurant, 346 Spadina Avenue (corner of St. Andrew). Entrance is on St. Andrew.

Meet in the restaurant lobby on the 2nd floor at 12 noon

These member hosted events tend to be smaller get togethers compared to the Club Potlucks. It's a good opportunity to get to know a smaller group of people. We usually spend a couple of hours chatting over lunch and strolling around the neighbourhood afterwards if the weather co-operates.

Sunday

End of Summer Picnic at Hanlan's Point

Weather concerns: the picnic WILL go ahead if the weather is just marginal. It will only be cancelled at the last minute if it is pouring with rain. If in doubt, call Sid at 416-481-9506 BEFORE 11am.

Picnic on the Toronto Islands. Join us for a lunch-time picnic and afternoon fun at Hanlan's Point. Sid will be hosting.

Meet at 1.00pm or just before at the Hanlan's Point Ferry Dock on the Island side (NOT the City dock). There is a ferry leaving the city for Hanlan's Point at 12.45pm which will get you there on time.

PLEASE LEAVE ENOUGH TIME TO BUY YOUR TICKET FOR THE FERRY, IN CASE THERE'S A LINE-UP!

Note to those on bikes: you ARE allowed to take your bike on the ferries at the weekends - except for the Centre Island ferry. So, if you miss the Hanlan's Point ferry, you can always go to Ward's and cycle over.

For those of you who miss the boat, take the ferry to Hanlan's Point then walk to the right. We plan on finding a spot on the grass near the ferry dock.

It's a picnic - not a potluck - so bring what you want to eat and drink yourself: we will not be providing pop for this event.

Also, please bring frisbees, roller blades, beach balls, etc. if you want some fun and games after the food!

For more on the Toronto Islands and the ferry service, please go here.

Everyone welcome - please email us if you need to know more, or phone Sid at 416-481-9506. Please bring your friends along!
